"On Account Ah Rain"

Charlotte, NC.  They have very strange stop lights here.  Check out the alien looking turn light.  I don't know what the purpose of having two red stop lights on the turn signal would be, unless perhaps it's in case one of them goes out.

This town turned their water tower into a baseball.

Coming across into South Carolina, there are lots of billboards.  Here we are traveling south on Interstate 77 towards Columbia, South Carolina.

This is how everything looked past 5PM or so.  It simply didn't stop raining.  The people here apparently don't know how to actually drive when it's raining so they all slowed down (see the brake lights).  It was the only time we actually were faster than most of the traffic on the Interstate.

More lovely rain.  Wish you were here!

This is the view out of the hotel Saturday morning.  We stopped in St. George for the night.  It FINALLY stopped raining (for a short while at least).  As you can see, our "view" consisted of a pool and the local McDonalds, which sadly we went to twice.  A little to the right is Interstate 95, the East Coast equivalant to I-5.

Tomorrow : Join us from Charleston, South Carolina, we're we'd be soaking up the sun... if there were any!  Forecast for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday is sunny and in the 70s!
